Alphonse and his readers investigate shapes. Alphonse, in his attempts to paint a Valentine, creates a square, a circle and a triangle by mistake. His frustration builds and so does the humour and silliness of the situation. Finally the elusive heart is painted by Alphonse's supportive little side-kick (who happens to be a mouse).
