In AD 666, Sister Fidelma sets out with a band of pilgrims to the Holy Shrine of St James. The ship is tossed about by a tempestuous sea and one of the pilgrims disappears, the discovery of blood-stained robes raises questions and Fidelma must focus on solving the murders.
