This book contains the contributions to the Conference 'Churches and Other Religious Organisations as Legal Persons', organised in 2005 by the European Consortium for Church and State Research. The contributions cover the conference subject in nearly all EU member states. Experts from the different countries have described the situation in their states. This book contains an analysis of the legal status of churches and other religious organisations on a regional basis as well.
