Jingo Hawks is hired out as a chimney-sweep by the matron of the orphanage where he lives. In the course of his work he discovers a vital clue to a treasure trove. Shortly afterwards a mysterious Mr Peacock buys Jingo and they set out on a wild treasure hunt in Mexico, hotly pursued by Matron.
