The intention of this text has been to inform, encourage and simultaneously entertain the family researcher and life-story writer through emphasising that, as we develop a deeper consciousness of the past as part of the present, we get to know our families, and sometimes ourselves, a little better. It is about being inspired to reflect on historical family events, without becoming too backward or inward looking. But mainly it's about helping the life-story writer to complete a cohesive piece of writing- a perfect gift for future generations.
