At the beginning of term Miranda has a new teacher. Mr Duffy is well-meaning, but he uses long words and seems to have no sense of humour. He is appalled by Miranda's spelling and unimpressed by her poetry. What's more Miranda has to face the difficult task of visiting her father in prison.
