Loyanda lives with her Gogo. Today they will cook Jeqe. It is soft bread. It is Loyanda's best food. Gogo helps Loyanda put the ingredients in a bowl. She mixes the dough with her hands. When it is soft, she covers it with a cloth and leaves the dough to rise. They collect firewood, and make a fire. They fill a pot with water, put the dough into a bag and drop it into the water. When the bread is cooked it smells good. They eat the bread with soup. When they are finished they wash the dishes in soapy water.
